The Landes: A Land of Gastronomy, Nature and Great Wines
Renowned for its gastronomy and art of living, the Landes welcomes more than 2 million visitors each summer. Beyond its Atlantic coastline, it is also a land of farming and vineyards, particularly in the south-west of the department. This preserved and little-known part of the Landes includes the wine-growing areas of Tursan and Chalosse.
Today, our cooperative is the only remaining wine cooperative in the Landes, whereas there were eight in the past. It plays a vital role in ensuring the continuity and sustainability of local winegrowing.
We produce several wine designations, with AOP Tursan as our flagship appellation.
Our Natural Vineyard in the Landes
Our grapes are carefully selected and harvested at optimum ripeness before being vinified and aged in our winery.
Every bottle is produced and bottled at our estate in Geaune, whether it comes from our estates and châteaux, sourced from outstanding single vineyards, or from carefully crafted blends reflecting the diversity of our terroirs and grape varieties.
AOP Tursan proudly carries environmental certifications such as HVE (High Environmental Value), Agri-Confiance and Organic Farming (AB). These certifications reflect our commitment to sustainable viticulture and environmentally responsible farming.

Our Grape Varieties
Our traditional grape varieties have been cultivated in Tursan for generations because they are perfectly suited to our terroir.
Some originate from the Pyrenees, such as Tannat and the Manseng family; others thrive in an Atlantic climate, including Sauvignon Blanc and the Cabernet varieties; while Baroque, the emblematic white grape of the Landes, is unique to our region.

In 2004, a detailed vineyard classification identified the finest vineyard sites. Only vines planted within these selected parcels are eligible for the AOP Tursan designation.
The appellation covers 36 communes in the south-east of the Landes.

Our Appellations
Tursan
Here, nature has chosen to stand apart.
Nestled between Dax and Mont-de-Marsan, beyond the vast Landes forest and at the foothills of the Atlantic Pyrenees, Tursan enjoys a privileged climate. This discreet vineyard unfolds across rolling hillsides and hidden vineyard plots, offering an authentic and preserved landscape.
The AOP Tursan extends across the curves of the Adour River over 36 communes, within a 15-kilometre radius around Geaune.
During the Middle Ages, barrels of Tursan wine travelled down the Adour aboard flat-bottomed barges before being shipped to Northern Europe.

The vineyard is made up of numerous small plots, with south-facing slopes towards the Pyrenean foothills providing ideal growing conditions.
Chalosse & the Landes
Nestled in the graceful curve of the Adour River, Chalosse is one of the Landes' best-kept secrets.
Rich in agricultural traditions, gastronomy and Gascon culture—including the famous course landaise and festive bandas—it offers an authentic way of life surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and farmland.
IGP Landes & IGP Coteaux de Chalosse
Winegrowers cultivate around 100 hectares of vineyards, united by sandy terroirs.
Production is centred around Pouillon, Mugron, Saint-Sever and Hagetmau, where distinctive grape varieties such as Arriloba for white wines and Egiodola for reds contribute to the originality of these wines.
IGP Landes – Sables de l'Océan
On the Atlantic coast, 10 hectares of vineyards are planted at Messanges on sandy coastal plains.
Marine gravel and warm, well-drained sandy soils encourage early ripening of the grapes.
Cabernet Franc and Merlot produce a distinctive rosé wine that is fresh, fruity and delicately lively, expressing the unique character of this exceptional coastal terroir.
